Code of conduct

As you would expect we operate a Nil Satis Nisi Optimum approach to all we do. We have high expectations of all our staff and students and encourage them to be the best they can be. Teaching & learning is monitored for engagement and behaviour in addition to player attitude towards football and coaching.  It should be noted that our students represent Everton College in a positive way and wear the uniform with pride and respect displaying an excellent approach to all aspects of college life.


Expectations in-relation to the student's education include:

  • Maintain attendance and punctuality above 92%
  • Everton Football College kit to be always worn
  • Always conduct yourself in a positive manner whilst in college and the wider community
  • Students must engage in independent learning outside the classroom 
  • Students must make expected progress during the academic year
  • Students must adhere to college policies in class relating to bullying and plagiarism
  • Students must check college email for important information and updates
  • Check college Heja daily and adhere to the professional practices 
  • Arrive on time to class with a willingness to learn, anyone late will not train on that day
  • All assignments must be handed in on time
  • No Mobile phones in class
  • No food or drink in class (apart from water)
  • Students to always use appropriate language
  • Students must complete work to their highest standard


Expectations in-relation to training include:

  • Arrive on time for training
  • Anyone late for training will not train on that day
  • Everton Football College kit to be always worn
  • Players should be on the pitch ready to train at the specified time on their timetable
  • Players must have clean boots for training
  • If players use showers, flip flops must be worn 
  • Wearing shin pads is compulsory. The College is not responsible for any injuries caused by not complying with this expectation
  • Players must eat healthy food and drink in preparation for training
  • Players who miss training will be unavailable for team selection that week


Expectations in-relation to matchdays include:

  • Be punctual for matches
  • Everton Football College kit to be always worn
  • No flip flops to be worn when travelling away to matches
  • Warm-up top to be worn in warm-up (not numbered match shirt)
  • Advised that players should have 1 moulded and 1 studded pair of boots for matchdays 
  • Clean boots for matchdays
  • Player must have shin pads
  • If players use showers, flip flops must be worn 
  • Players must eat healthy food and drink in preparation for matches
  • No mobile phones out 1 hour before kick-off (phones in bags)
  • Players will pay their own fines for yellow / red cards they receive in matches. (Players will be excluded from matches until fines are paid)

If player has a valid reason for any of the above, then it will be at the discretion of the team manager whether they can participate in training or matches.

Uniform

When attending college, students are required to wear Everton uniform which is available to buy at a reduced cost. In addition, students may be required to buy additional playing equipment and kit such as protective equipment and football boots.  All students are required to take responsibility for their own learning, and it is expected that they bring their own stationery and equipment for all lessons.
