During Covid we piloted an 'In the Blue Chair' initiative. In addition to our regular lessons and to enhance our RSHE delivery we invited guest speakers in from the world of work and sport to deliver presentations with topics ranging from careers, mental health, career insights, running a business, what it is like to study a US scholarship, study skills, equality & diversity training, fitness sessions and challenges to ensure our students were keep busy over lockdown.
These proved a success and we continue this initiative through guest speakers to enhance the delivery of our qualifications and our RSHE programme. Our regulars include premier league referees and ex-players, LJMU sport scientists, ex students who have become successful entrepreneurs, health specialists and nurses, nutritionists, social media experts and insight days from the Armed Forces!
