Cultural Trips

Aruba

We are most fortunate to send students on a two-week coaching experience in Aruba, made possible thanks to Everything is Possible.

The students spend their time on the Caribbean Island taking part in a European Solidarity Corps project, specialising in sport and putting the coaching skills that they learn from their time with Everton Football College into practice during a once in a lifetime work experience placement.

The students are immersed into Caribbean culture and learn to communicate more effectively with players and coaches as well as learning to adapt their coaching styles to best suit the ability of the players they are working with.

Valencia, Chile and South Africa

Valencia
This placement provides the opportunity for our students to experience Spanish Culture, University life and play and coach for local teams. Our links with Pro Soccer Football ensure that the week long trip is packed full of playing and coaching opportunities, cultural activities and a trip to Valencia FC.

Chile
16 of our students have just returned from Santiago, Chile, completing a 2-week placement with Adolfo Ibanez University.  Opportunities included coaching and playing against local teams and visits to Everton De Vina Del Mar, travelling around Chile to cultural and historical places of interest and experiencing life as a university student.

South Africa
With opportunities to coach in the townships in South Africa and opportunities to play other academies alongside being a tourist, visiting Table Top Mountain, Penguin Beach and going on safari, our students get a chance to become involved in a once in a life time trip!

Football Trips

Dallas

At Everton Football College we are privileged to take part in the very prestigious Dallas Cup. The Dallas Cup began in 1980 and is an annual event held during Easter Week. To ensure the highest level of competition each year, the Dallas Cup is an invitation only tournament.

In 2023, Everton Football College took over 80 students to participate in the U18 and U19 age brackets, (male and female). Over 900 international players participate in the tournament each year. On average, the Dallas Cup entertains over 105,000 spectators during the tournament week and is the perfect spectacle for our students wanting to gain a US Scholarship.

New York

A great way to finish the academic year, we take squads to New York to play in the New York Cup. Although football is the priority it is a great way to finish the year in one of the most famous cities of the world.

Cambrils

We have been invited to the World School Games in Cambrils as reigning U17 Champions this October. This is an opportunity for players to play against the best school and college teams from all over the world. Next academic year we are planning on taking two male squads and 2 womens' teams to represent us on the world stage.

Work Experience

Our sport courses offer a chance for work experience. All our students will have the opportunity to become involved in local projects, through soccer camps, school PE lessons and delivering sports days with organisations such as Everton in the Community, local school sport partnerships and other providers.

Through our partner organisations, there are opportunities for all our students to become involved in various projects during their holidays. Should they wish to volunteer and experience working both home and abroad, to gain valuable life skills and experience to enable them to take their next steps, students can apply for a variety of placements such as coaching in New York, the Caribbean or America. There are also placements such as animal welfare and conservation should they wish to experience these.
