Course Information
English and maths are core skills required by almost every employer and Higher Education institution as they demonstrate communication and problem-solving skills. Here at Everton Football College we encourage you to strive to achieve at least a grade ‘4’ at GCSE in both subjects. Students who do not achieve a grade 4/C during their GCSE exams will be required to study these subjects at Everton Football College in addition to their sport pathway.
Progress towards achieving Functional Skills at Level 1 and 2 is also an option for all learners and may be a more suitable route for some.
Course assessment
Formal GCSE exam assessments. There may be a chance for a resit in November but typically students are entered for the summer examination series.
Functional Skills Level 1 and 2 exams. Typically, students sit these exams around the Easter and summer term.
