Everton NW League Winners 2020/2021

The North West Championship side finished their league winning campaign with a routine 2-0 win at home to Leeds. The game was dominated from the off by the blues who took a deserved lead thanks to some good work by Tomlinson, first to win the ball, and then to remain calm enough to pass it into the corner. The game should have had more goals but thanks to good keeping and the woodwork it remained 1-0.

It took a spectacular effort from Delaney to add to the score line with a thunderous shot from outside the box that found the top corner. The final whistle was met with celebration as it draws an end to a successful campaign, 14 games, 11 wins and most impressively, just the 8 goals conceded.

Manager Phil Oliver commented ‘The lads have been fantastic and for most of these students we have had a lot taken from us this year due to COVID such as Dallas trips and National Cup Finals, but no one could take this away from them. We are immensely proud of all the students and hopefully this is a springboard to future success in the National Youth League’.
