Undergraduate Study

As part of the Everton Family we are extremely proud to be able to offer a unique higher education learning experience. The Everton Sport Development & Coaching foundation degree (FdSc) offers you the chance to work within a premier league football club to develop your skills and knowledge within sport development and coaching. Recognising the importance of work-related learning you will be given the opportunity to develop your coaching practice both home and abroad throughout the two-year programme. You will enjoy a Nil Satis, Nisi Optimum approach to your education and have the opportunity to bring learning to life with access to world-class opportunities.

Our degree has been developed in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University. Students will have the opportunity to graduate at the end of year two achieving a Sport Development & Coaching foundation degree (FdSc) or if they choose, can complete their undergraduate studies with LJMU to achieve a BSc(Hons) Sports Coaching degree in this final year.

Although football is our main passion, it is important that as a coach you can facilitate and lead sessions in a variety of sports. The degree prepares you for this and you will participate in a variety of practical sessions. Placements can range from working within in primary schools’ environment to coaching athletics or netball in addition to football.

If playing football is your passion we offer a bespoke package that combines your studies with regular training and games that supports your football development. This includes the opportunity to play in the U23s National Football Youth League.
